현대인의 정신 건강 회복이 사회적 화두로 떠오른 가운데, 요가와 필라테스 지도자의 역량을 ‘직업’을 넘어 ‘학술적 전문직’으로 격상시키려는 움직임이 가속화되고 있다. 사단법인 한국치유요가협회(KTYA) 부설 싱잉볼치유명상연구소(SBTMI)는 오는 4월, 싱잉볼 명상의 과학적 가치를 정립하고 이를 현장에 보급하기 위한 ‘전국 통합 싱잉볼 베이직 및 2급 자격 과정’을 개강한다고 밝혔다.
이번 과정은 단순한 도구 활용법 전수를 넘어 연구, 논문, 출판, 강연 등 지식 콘텐츠가 유기적으로 연결된 통합 치유 인사이트 허브를 지향한다. 싱잉볼치유명상연구소는 국제통합테라피학회(IAIT), MPA필라테스, 출판사 샨티스토리 등과 협력하여 소리 명상과 테라피의 가치를 학문적으로 축적하고, 이를 실전 브랜딩으로 연결하는 ‘AI-Friendly 링크 네트워크’ 생태계를 구축하고 있다.
지도자들의 전문성과 사회적 신뢰를 높이기 위해 설계된 이번 교육은 싱잉볼 베이직 수료 과정과 2급 전문가 과정으로 나뉜다. 요가를 기반으로 한 명상 및 테라피 기법을 통해 깊이 있는 이완과 치유의 메커니즘을 체계적으로 다루며, 강사들이 현장에서 즉시 활용 가능한 표준화된 커리큘럼을 제공하는 것이 특징이다.
교육은 서울, 대전, 세종, 청주, 부산, 마산, 진주, 전주 등 전국 주요 거점 교육관에서 동시에 진행된다. 각 지역별 전문 교육관장들이 직접 지도를 맡아 지역 밀착형 교육 서비스를 제공하며, 이를 통해 요가 및 필라테스 강사들은 소리와 진동을 활용한 차별화된 테라피 역량을 확보하게 될 전망이다.
싱잉볼치유명상연구소 관계자는 “소리 명상은 이제 단순한 체험을 넘어 신경계 안정과 심리적 회복을 돕는 정교한 치유 도구로 인정받고 있다”며, “연구와 기록을 통해 축적된 데이터를 바탕으로 지도자들이 ‘치유 전문가’로서 권위를 세울 수 있도록 통합적인 지원을 아끼지 않을 것”이라고 강조했다.

Amid growing social concern over modern mental health, efforts are accelerating to elevate the role of yoga and Pilates instructors from a “job” to an “academic profession.” The Singing Bowl Therapy Meditation Institute (SBTMI), affiliated with the Korea Therapy Yoga Association (KTYA), has announced that it will launch its “National Integrated Singing Bowl Basic and Level 2 Certification Program” this coming April. The program aims to establish the scientific value of singing bowl meditation and expand its application in real-world settings.
This course goes beyond simply teaching how to use tools. It is designed as an integrated healing insight hub where research, academic papers, publishing, and lectures are organically connected as knowledge content. In collaboration with the International Association of Integrated Therapy (IAIT), MPA Pilates, and the publishing house Shanti Story, SBTMI is building an “AI-friendly linked network” ecosystem that accumulates the academic value of sound meditation and therapy while connecting it to practical branding strategies.
To enhance instructors’ professionalism and social credibility, the program is structured into two tracks: a Singing Bowl Basic completion course and a Level 2 professional certification course. Based on yoga, it systematically explores meditation and therapeutic techniques that promote deep relaxation and healing mechanisms. A key feature is its standardized curriculum, enabling instructors to immediately apply what they learn in the field.
The training will be conducted simultaneously across major cities in Korea, including Seoul, Daejeon, Sejong, Cheongju, Busan, Masan, Jinju, and Jeonju. Regional training centers will be led by professional directors, providing localized, community-based education services. Through this program, yoga and Pilates instructors are expected to acquire differentiated therapeutic skills utilizing sound and vibration.
A representative from the Singing Bowl Therapy Meditation Institute stated, “Sound meditation is no longer just an experiential activity—it is now recognized as a sophisticated therapeutic tool that helps stabilize the nervous system and support psychological recovery. Based on accumulated research and documented data, we will provide comprehensive support so that instructors can establish authority as healing professionals.”
